Business Challenge
The steel conglomerate has a large customer base located across the globe. As part of the company's focus on building long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with customers, management was keen to extend a self-help platform for customer service.
Solution
Collabera leveraged its expertise on the SAP R/3 platform to build an e-business component - a Customer Information Kiosk solution. The kiosk solution integrates with the company's SAP R/3 implementation to provide customers an online platform to access information. The e-business solution allows valid customers to log into the system using customer number and password. The customer accesses a role based, single window information interface from where he can obtain details regarding order status and pricing information. Validation and interfacing with the web was done using BAPIs with SAP Business Connector.
Benefits
The Customer Information Kiosk solution was able to provide anytime, anywhere access to critical information. The client was able to access information like order status, delivery status, invoice information, credit status and much more through exclusively tailored online reports.
