GCI launches OptiCare line of SAP support services targeted at enterprises Leverages a remote, centralized shared service model
Bangalore, June 07, 2007
GCI, ranked one of the fastest growing privately-held technology firms in the US by Deloitte, Ernst &Young and Inc. 500, today announced the launch of their new OptiCare range of SAP support services for the Indian SAP user market. Gaining momentum after the recent acquisition and investment in IVL India, GCI’s Enterprise Solutions has extended its portfolio of SAP-related offerings with this launch.
OptiCare is a 24X7 SAP functional and technical support service that enables large SAP installations to establish or complement support teams. It offers "all modules, all versions" SAP support using a centralized, remote, shared service framework delivered at high quality and optimal cost out of GCI's delivery center located at the Technopark, Trivandrum.
OptiCare clients get the added advantage of fixed pricing support by way of an innovative new pricing policy in the form of value packs. Value packs combine the flexibility of paying for only the services required with the ability to better budget and apportion costs.
Making this announcement on the occasion of the SAP Summit in Mumbai, Sunil Gupta of GCI Enterprise Solutions stated that the OptiCare line is targeted at large Indian enterprises with mature SAP implementations. This offering leverages GCI’s extensive experience in the SAP space and keen appreciation of the changing needs of SAP users. He went on to add that the target market for OptiCare in India is very large, given the large installed and growing base for SAP and a constant pressure on the in house team for the support.
Aligning with SAP’s NetWeaver platform strategy, GCI has also released i-OptiSuite, the Java-enabled version of OptiSuite (the market leading statutory compliance and documentation product suite for foreign trade, taxation and risk management for Indian enterprises). Commenting on the release of i-OptiSuite, Sunil Gupta said, "The move to Java, will allow OptiSuite products to have easier integration with other applications and leverage the people integration layer of SAP NetWeaver through the Enterprise Portal. This in turn will allow us to leverage the full capability of the NetWeaver platform for our clients."
These announcements underscore GCI’s commitment to build a comprehensive Enterprise Solutions portfolio that addresses the needs of large number of Indian and global clients. GCI’s Enterprise Solutions business spans the full range of the SAP lifecycle - implementation to post-implementation. GCI also offers a range of value added services including SAP Testing, NetWeaver Services and SAP add-on products.
