Collabera Collects and Recycles Cell Phones for Soldiers
Here at Collabera, we believe that concern for the environment should be part of any business and that is why we integrate environmental consciousness into our overall strategy. As we strive for a greener environment, Collabera is proud to announce the launch of our nationwide recycling / donation campaign for old and unused cellphones.
From April 10th – May 1st, Collabera is joining the movement and partnering with Cell Phone for Soldiers to help collect old, broken, and/or gently-used cell phones across the nation to help provide a lifeline for America’s bravest. This national non-profit organization began in 2004 where two young children, Robbie and Brittany Bergquist, wanted to give back to the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our country. To this date, more than 15 million cell phones have been recycled, which has helped reduce the impact on landfills.
How are the Cell Phones Re-Purposed?
For newer or gently-used cell phones, donations are refurbished and given to a soldier.
For outdated or broken cell phones, donations are recycled with all proceeds being used to fund veterans with pre-paid calling cards or emergency fund purposes:
Minutes That Matter
provides free calling cards to active-duty military members to connect with loved ones.
Helping Heroes Homes
assists veterans with emergency funds to alleviate communication challenges as well as physical, emotional and assimilation hardships.
Ready to Donate? Here’s how!
All donations can be made by dropping off your used/unused items at your local participating Collabera branch office. Please ensure to erase all personal information from your phone prior to donating.
