The role of the IT Infrastructure Support Engineer is to maintain, protect and enhance key ICT systems, provide technical support and advice to customers (end users) across multiple locations, platforms and technologies and contribute to the activities of Technical Support staff responsible for the operational maintenance of the organisation’s ICT environment.
1. Completion of relevant degree, with relevant work experience or a lesser formal qualification (such as MS Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), MS Certified Professional (MCP)) with relevant work skills and experience.
2. Knowledge of the following technologies would be an advantage
o MS Exchange, Active Directory and MS SQL
o Mobile devices such as tablets / phones
o Backup Exec / Veeam
o Experience with Dell hardware
o Datacore SAN software
o Mitel PABX and IP telephony
o Cisco networking equipment
o Communication technologies such as WAN / LAN / Wireless and firewall rules and configuration
