Job Description

Qualifications:

Required Education:

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MS in Life Sciences) that is relevant to the requirements of the position

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Some knowledge and therapeutic area experience in Oncology
  • Some work experience in Medical Information and/or Medical/Scientific Review of promotional materials in the biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, statistical concepts, and evaluation and interpretation of complex scientific literature
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Organizational and prioritization skills

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Deep experience working in Medical Information and/or prior biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Advanced knowledge and therapeutic area experience in Oncology
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and systems for Medical Information and Promotional Review
  • Negotiation skills for interaction with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities:

The GMI Senior Specialist is an entry-level headquarters-based role within Global Medical Affairs, who is responsible for the 3 global core functions of the GMI group:

  • Medical Information (e.g., customizing medical information letters to respond to U.S. HCP inquiries, handling of escalated complex global HCP inquiries, etc)
  • Medical/Scientific Review of U.S., and HQ-created globally used Promotional Materials
  • Medical Education and Training of frontline personnel (e.g., U.S. Call Center) on Client products and associated disease states.

The GMI Senior Specialist has an advanced educational background (PharmD, PhD, MS in Life Sciences) and reports into the Director, Team Lead, GMI.

Top 3 skillsets:

  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, statistical concepts, and evaluation and interpretation of complex scientific literature
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
