The Purpose, Role Definition, and Requirements: The WHY and WHAT for a Director- Business Development, Strategic Accounts Team

As Collabera readies itself for the next wave of growth driven by its opportunity in assembling total talent solutions for the digital world, the journey involves not just the evolution of our market facing solutions and offerings but also the evolution of our own talent in a digital and post-digital world. The journey also requires the execution and alignment of our Culture Operating System driven and defined by our core values that have stood the test of time. In this line, the leadership team seeks a tech forward executive business partner in total talent transformation – the Director of new business development to be a business contributor for many of Collabera’s talent businesses. The detailed responsibilities will include:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• New client acquisition focusing on a top 25 target list for the region

• Build client relationships at the “C” level and senior level IT stakeholders who are responsible for driving business decisions • Follow sales objective for territory and set written plan of targets

• Work closely with the Enterprise Services Group, Engineering Solutions and Regional teams to drive business to closure

• Build the professional services and solutions business through the selling of onshore & offshore projects and solutions

• Build a sales pipeline for offering project-based services • Cold call prospective leads

• Manage a BDM in the central region to ensure their success to achieve their targets

• High level strategic relationship building • Proposal development

• Attend networking and staffing events

• Sales presentations and closing

• Follow up on warm leads and convert hot leads into sales

• Become thoroughly familiar with client systems and processes

• Key contributor to customer RFI, RFP and RFQ responses

Role Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years’ experience of sales/ business development in IT services/solutions

  • Experience with selling large, complex deals

  • Proven track record in strategic account new business development, must be a hunter

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 60% and work in a global team of professionals

  • Able to operate in a fast –paced and changing environment

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Must be technically savvy

  • Advanced working knowledge of PC and related software applications

  • Effective at the C-level, Ability to respond to comprehensive and detailed RFP's and customer driven bids

  • Ability to foster and maintain solid partnerships with clients and internal staff
