Job Summary:
We are seeking a QC Lab Technician to support Quality Control laboratory operations for a new product line in a regulated laboratory environment. This position is responsible for performing laboratory testing, documenting results, supporting validation activities, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and laboratory procedures. The ideal candidate will have hands on laboratory experience, microbiology knowledge, strong technical documentation skills, and experience working within cGMP regulated environments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to product quality while supporting laboratory operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing using standard laboratory equipment to verify product quality.
- Inspect samples and document observations accurately.
- Operate pipettes, pH meter, analytical balance, and UV spectrophotometer during laboratory testing.
- Perform microbiological testing including aseptic techniques, bioburden testing, membrane filtration, and direct inoculation.
- Record laboratory data accurately using electronic systems.
- Identify and report out of specification results following laboratory procedures.
- Support technical writing activities including validation documentation and change control records.
- Assist with development, review, and execution of validation protocols and test cases.
- Maintain laboratory compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
- Support additional laboratory activities assigned by laboratory leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree with a minimum of 3 years of laboratory or related experience or Bachelor degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related Life Sciences.
- Experience with laboratory techniques including pipetting, pH meter, analytical balance, and UV spectrophotometer.
- Experience with aseptic techniques and microbiological testing.
- Experience performing bioburden testing, direct inoculation, and membrane filtration.
- Experience supporting instrument validation including validation protocols, test cases, and execution.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience working with MS Office applications.
- Ability to learn new laboratory software systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment.
- One to two years of Quality Control laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory quality systems and change control processes.
- Experience supporting assay validation activities.
