About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Testing Technician for medical devices. This role involves performing various mechanical, electrical, and visual tests to ensure the quality and safety of our products. The position is 100% on-site, with a focus on hands-on lab work.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical, electrical, conditioning, length, OD, and visual tests on medical devices.
  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Maintain precise documentation in accordance with good documentation practices.
  • Communicate test results and observations clearly to engineers.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and utilize appropriate safety equipment.
  • Operate lab tools and equipment such as calipers, MTS, multimeters, digital thermometers, force gauges, Cognex, LabView, and hand tools.
  • Balance work time with approximately 85% lab work and 15% desk work.

    Education Qualification:
  • Post-high school education or 1–4 years of relevant experience.
  • An AA degree or post-secondary education is preferred.
  • A BS in engineering or a master’s degree is considered overqualified.

    Required Skills:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
  • Familiarity with medical device testing or product assembly is preferred.
  • Experience in R&D or testing environments is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience in drafting documents is beneficial.
  • Solid work history with demonstrated reliability.
  • Career progression or transferable skills relevant to testing or mechanical work.
  • Ideal candidates are hands-on, focused, and interested in long-term growth within the team. This position is non-exempt, with overtime paid at time and a half. The role involves analyzing verbal or statistical data to prepare reports and studies for use in scientific or engineering areas. Candidates may be proficient in qualitative and/or quantitative lab methods. The position is temp to hire, with opportunities for long-term growth.
