Job Title: Data Analyst II
Location: North Chicago, IL 60064
Work Type: Onsite
Contract Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Job Summary:
- The Data Analyst II will support commercial compliance operations through data analysis, monitoring, metrics reporting, communication, and operational execution.
- This role will analyze large and complex data sets from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, and compliance opportunities.
- The position will collaborate closely with Commercial, Legal, Office of Ethics and Compliance, and other business stakeholders.
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and advanced MS Office expertise.
- Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, curiosity, persistence, and the ability to manage multiple workflows with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, compile, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources to support commercial compliance monitoring activities.
- Monitor and identify trends across compliance data and present findings, insights, and recommendations to business, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
- Support the identification and resolution of legal and compliance issues through effective communication, documentation, and training.
- Assist with audit support activities, including preparation of documentation, responding to requests, and tracking remediation activities.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Financial Compliance, and Legal stakeholders to resolve complex compliance matters.
- Develop and maintain compliance procedures and work instructions to promote consistency and accuracy across monitoring programs.
- Interact with customer facing personnel and leadership to provide guidance and interpretation of compliance requirements.
- Manage multiple workflows simultaneously while coordinating activities with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement projects designed to strengthen business agility while maintaining compliance controls.
- Prepare clear written and verbal communications related to compliance inquiries, monitoring results, and operational activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large data sets.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Hands on experience with Excel pivot tables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously with limited supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to understand both broad business objectives and detailed compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience supporting commercial compliance, monitoring, audit, legal, or ethics and compliance functions.
- Experience working directly with customer facing personnel and business leadership.
