Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations and quality testing activities for a new product line within a regulated environment. This role will perform laboratory testing, document results, support validation activities, and help ensure products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience, strong technical documentation skills, and experience working with microbiological testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control testing to ensure products meet established specifications and quality standards
- Conduct laboratory assays using common laboratory equipment including pipettes and analytical instruments
- Visually inspect samples and materials for defects or nonconformance
- Accurately document testing activities and enter results into electronic systems
- Identify, document, and escalate out-of-specification results and quality concerns
- Support assay validations, change control documentation, and technical writing activities
- Assist with the development, review, and execution of validation protocols and test cases
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures, quality standards, and compliance requirements
- Participate in required training programs and maintain current procedural knowledge
- Support additional laboratory and quality-related activities as assigned
Required Qualifications: - Associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of laboratory or related experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related life sciences discipline
- Experience performing laboratory testing in a quality-controlled environment
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Experience using MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn and use laboratory and quality management software systems
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical procedures and testing protocols
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience operating a pH meter, analytical balance, and UV spectrophotometer
- Experience with aseptic techniques and microbiological testing
- Knowledge of bioburden testing, membrane filtration, and direct inoculation methodologies
- Experience supporting instrument validation activities and protocol execution
- Experience in a regulated medical device or life sciences environment
- Knowledge of quality assurance and laboratory compliance practices
