Job Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will support the design, development, testing, and evaluation of electrical systems, prototype printed circuit boards, tools, and fixtures. This role requires hands-on engineering expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting product development within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, layout, and construct prototype printed circuit boards, fixtures, and engineering tools for product development activities.
- Conduct evaluations, testing, and feasibility analyses to verify system functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical circuits, prototypes, breadboards, and hybrid systems.
- Perform measurements defined in design verification plans and document results in engineering reports.
- Create and maintain specifications, schematics, and mechanical layouts to support document control and product release processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support development and process improvement initiatives.
- Support decision-making by providing accurate technical analysis and engineering documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and participate in project activities within a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Experience designing, building, and evaluating prototype printed circuit boards, fixtures, and engineering tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation experience involving electronic systems and hardware prototypes.
- Experience conducting engineering testing, data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.
- Proficiency with engineering documentation, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, database, and engineering software applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel.
Preferred Qualifications: - Professional certification or advanced technical credentials in a related engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience supporting manufacturing processes and product development.
- Experience within a regulated environment such as medical devices, healthcare technology, or similar industries.
- Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.
