- About the Role** Join our dynamic team within the Applications & Analytics organization, focusing on Work and Material Management (WAMM). We are responsible for managing the applications, data, and processes essential for overseeing work from inception to completion in a utility company. Our team is part of a larger technical division undergoing a digital-first transformation.
- This hybrid role requires working onsite in Jackson, MI, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work on Monday and Friday.
- **Responsibilities** - **Software Design**: Architect, design, and implement scalable applications to support the WAMM team.
- **Application Development**: Develop and maintain .NET 5.0+ backend services and modern frontend applications using Angular or React/Next.
- **Cloud Engineering**: Create cloud-first solutions, troubleshoot cloud-based issues, and contribute to Azure-focused modernization efforts.
- **System Reliability**: Ensure high system reliability by maintaining end-to-end solutions and resolving production bugs.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver functional and user-centered software. - **Technical Leadership**: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting team upskilling initiatives.
- **Agile Delivery**: Participate in an Agile System of Delivery, including paired programming and XP-aligned practices.
- **Integration Work**: Support integrations with SAP PO and BTP endpoints and assist with networking documentation.
**Education Qualification** - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required. - An advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Equivalent experience will be considered for candidates with strong professional backgrounds.
- **Required Skills** - **.NET 5.0+ Expertise**: 4+ years of experience in building enterprise-grade backend systems.
- **Frontend Development**: 4+ years of experience with Angular or React/Next.
- **Team Upskilling**: Proven ability to teach tools, techniques, and processes.
- **Cloud-First Development**: Strong troubleshooting and implementation skills in cloud environments.
- **Stakeholder Communication**: Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- **End-to-End Ownership**: Skilled in maintaining full-stack solutions and resolving production issues.
- **Paired Programming**: Experience in paired programming and test-driven development.
- **Preferred Skills** - Experience with Agile System of Delivery, Incremental Design, CI/CD Pipelines, and XP Practices.
- Familiarity with SAP PO/BTP, .NET Framework 4.X, PowerApps, Azure, and VM Maintenance.
- Ability to create networking documentation, including firewalls, IA diagrams, and flow mapping.
- Adaptability in navigating evolving systems and processes.
