Own and refine the high-speed digital design for memory upgrades on a Gen 2 controller board.

Work on a complex board incorporating:
-
Large SoC
-
New/upgraded memory and PMIC
-
Multiple power rails, power regulation, and sequencing
-
Optical amplifier / optical head assembly
-
Motor control circuitry
-
Telemetry and temperature, current, and voltage monitoring
-
Complete and refine schematic designs based on the defined system architecture.

Work closely with the dedicated PCB layout team and provide technical oversight and guidance.
-
Guide critical component placement, high-speed routing, impedance requirements, and design constraints.
-
Ensure signal integrity, noise performance, and high-speed interface requirements are met.
-
Review PCB layout and provide feedback on critical routing and placement decisions.
-
Support design verification, hardware bring-up, and functional testing.
-
Debug hardware issues in the lab and perform root-cause analysis.
-
Support production troubleshooting and RCA/debugging as needed.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve hardware, firmware, and manufacturing issues.
-
Contribute to design documentation, test plans, bring-up procedures, and manufacturing readiness.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
-
Strong hands-on experience with high-speed digital hardware design.
-
Experience designing or upgrading memory interfaces on complex digital boards.
-
Experience with SoC/processor-based hardware.
-
Strong understanding of signal integrity, noise, impedance, and high-speed PCB design.
-
Experience with schematic capture and PCB design workflows.
-
Experience working with PCB layout teams and providing layout review/technical direction.
-
Hands-on experience with board bring-up, hardware validation, and lab debugging.
-
Strong understanding of power distribution, power rails, PMICs, and sequencing.
-
Ability to read and interpret datasheets, reference designs, and technical specifications.
-
Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and communication skills.
-
Experience with high-speed memory technologies and memory upgrades.
-
Experience with high-speed serial interfaces.
-
Experience with signal-integrity simulation/analysis.
-
Experience with Siemens Xpedition/Xpedition EDM.
-
Experience with complex SoC-based controller boards.
-
Experience with optical, motor-control, telemetry, or embedded hardware.
-
Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations.
-
Experience supporting production hardware and manufacturing RCA.
-
Experience with test automation or scripting for hardware validation.
