Job Title: Facilities Technician (Manufacturing Functional Technician)

Job Location: Westborough, MA

Job Duration: 9+ Months (Contract)

Pay Range: $20-22/Hr

Job Description:

  • Perform troubleshooting activities for manufacturing products, using data and observations to assist in debug and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct hardware inspections, identifying discrepancies and documenting findings to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assemble first article builds, test fixtures, racks, and associated wiring, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Provide feedback to mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering teams on tooling, consumables, debugging processes, and test setups.
  • Maintain and update team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documenting process improvements and changes.
  • Perform tasks across multiple defined process paths, escalating issues when deviations from standard processes occur.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and safety standards while identifying opportunities for process optimization.
  • Lead or support small-scale process improvement initiatives such as 6S or defect reduction projects.
  • Participate in training programs for peers and assist in developing new hires within your process area.
  • Maintain security and proper usage of company assets, equipment, and tools used in daily operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing methods and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Experience in troubleshooting installation, fault finding, and repairs
  • Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, and cross functionally
  • Ability to read and follow English-language instructions and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely in a structured manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical integration or assembly
  • Experience driving projects to improve support-related processes and technical support
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing test processes.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams on tooling and test process optimization.
