Job Summary:
The Lab Technician I will support quality control operations by coordinating sample receipt, performing routine analytical testing, and documenting laboratory results. This role involves working in a GMP laboratory environment, operating analytical instruments, and assisting with the testing of pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a foundational laboratory science background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate receipt, tracking, and processing of laboratory samples.
- Perform routine analytical testing in support of quality control activities.
- Record, review, and enter testing data into laboratory computer systems.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments following established procedures.
- Assist with data interpretation and investigation of testing results.
- Follow GMP guidelines, laboratory procedures, and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
- Support continuous improvement and laboratory efficiency initiatives.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field, or Associate degree with relevant laboratory experience.
- Up to 3 years of laboratory experience.
- Experience using basic laboratory instrumentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications and data entry.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology laboratory environments.
- GMP laboratory experience.
- Experience operating analytical balances, total carbon analyzers, spectrophotometers, and pH meters.
- Knowledge of quality control testing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
