Title: Network Security Engineer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Spring, TX (Onsite)
Pay Range: $40/hr to $60/hr

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Review, assess, and approve enterprise firewall and network security requests (Port Opening Requests).
• Provide security consultation and governance for internal/external network connections rather than performing direct firewall deployments.
• Partner with DevOps, Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and OT teams to guide final solution designs.
• Steward relationships with network connection owners to identify, understand, and mitigate security risks.
• Support ongoing initiatives, including cloud migrations, tunnel migrations, and firewall rule consolidation/optimization.

Must-Have:

• Non-negotiable hands-on experience with Fortinet/FortiGate firewall policy management and rule governance.
• Strong networking background covering TCP/IP environments, network authentication, encryption, and perimeter security.
• Hands-on experience with site-to-site VPNs, IPsec, and network tunnels.
• Hands-on exposure to cloud networking and security (AWS or Azure security groups, routing, and cloud firewalls).
• Fluent English communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex security requirements to business and technical stakeholders.
