Title: Environmental Specialist
Duration: 6 to 12 Months
Location: Baytown, TX (Onsite)
Pay Range: $40/hr to $45/hr

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage facility waste profiling, sampling, characterization, transportation, and final disposal processes.
• Partner with operations to identify waste streams and determine container selection, proper handling, and disposal methods.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and external disposal facilities to manage waste handling projects.
• Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports, including the Annual Waste Summary and Tier II reporting.
• Oversee the safe disposal of industrial waste streams (oily water, amine, glycol, used oil, disulfide oil, NaHS, caustics, and acids) during routine operations and equipment turnarounds.

Must-Haves

• 5 to 10+ years of environmental experience focused on waste in industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience profiling, sampling, classifying, and managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
• Solid working knowledge of regulatory standards, including RCRA, CERCLA, Clean Water Act, and DOT/HazMat guidelines.
• Proven track record in regulatory environmental reporting (Annual Waste Summary, Tier II) and third-party vendor management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related scientific discipline.
