Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (4 day/week onsite)
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
- Own and manage Jira backlogs, sprint boards, epics, user stories, dependencies, and delivery reporting.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, RAID tracking, status updates, and escalations.
- Work closely with developers and architects to understand proposed solutions and translate them into actionable delivery plans.
- Break high-level roadmaps and architecture initiatives into smaller workstreams, epics, stories, and deliverable components.
- Create and refine technical user stories and acceptance criteria in partnership with engineering teams.
- Support technical scoping and high-level effort estimation, identifying assumptions, dependencies, risks, and complexity.
- Translate business and product requirements into clear engineering deliverables.
- Track priorities, timelines, blockers, risks, and cross-team dependencies.
- Align sprint execution with the product roadmap and target architecture.
- Promote strong data product principles including ownership, reuse, quality, governance, metadata, lineage, and consumer value.
- Provide leadership with clear updates on progress, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and priority conflicts.
- Act as a technical bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and developers.
- Strong technical project, program, delivery management, or BSA experience working closely with engineering teams.
- Prior hands-on background in software development, data engineering, cloud engineering, solution architecture, or a similar technical discipline.
- Strong AWS experience and ability to understand cloud/data architecture discussions.
- Experience with AWS Bedrock or GenAI solutions built on AWS.
- Experience or strong working knowledge of AWS Lake Formation, data lakes, lakehouse platforms, or cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong Data Product, data governance, metadata, lineage, and data catalogue experience.
- Advanced Jira and Agile delivery management skills.
- Experience creating technical user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, and sprint deliverables.
- Ability to take a high-level architecture or roadmap and break it into executable workstreams.
- Comfortable supporting technical scoping and providing high-level effort estimates.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents, agentic AI, semantic layers, or knowledge graphs.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity, create structure, identify gaps, and drive accountability.
- Experience with AWS services such as:
- Amazon Bedrock
- AWS Lake Formation
- Amazon Neptune
- Amazon QuickSight
- AWS Glue
- Amazon S3
- Athena
- Bedrock AgentCore / agentic AI capabilities
- Experience with modern data lake or lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with metadata management, data catalogues, data lineage, and data governance frameworks.
- Scrum Master, Technical Product Owner, or Business Systems Analyst experience.
- Experience working in financial services, investment management, or another regulated enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting AI/ML or GenAI platform delivery.
