Day-to-day Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive physical evaluations to determine functional limitations, establish treatment goals, and design personalized plans of care (POC).

Therapeutic Treatment & Intervention: Administer targeted physical therapy—including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and specialized modalities—to improve patient mobility, strength, and function.

Progress Monitoring & Plan Management: Continually track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, managing attendance compliance, and ensuring full execution of the established Plan of Care.

Patient & Family Education: Instruct patients and caregivers on therapy procedures, home exercise programs, and long-term injury prevention strategies.

Clinical Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely evaluation notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries while adhering to all ethical, legal, and company regulatory standards.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Supervision: Work alongside physicians and nursing staff while delegating tasks to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and supporting non-clinical staff to maintain smooth caseload operations.

Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist, along with CPR certification (and any state-required credentials).

Doctorate (DPT) or master's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.

Strong clinical skills with a background or hands-on experience in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric physical therapy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Proficient computer skills for managing accurate, timely electronic documentation and patient record-keeping.

Proven track record of successfully managing caseloads by delegating and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support staff.

Familiarity with industry-standard Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software (e.g., WebPT, Epic) for streamlined documentation and compliance.
