  • About the Role** We are seeking a Transport Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for initiating and managing network transport builds across ULH and OTN Mesh networks.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of SONET and Long-Distance transport systems, as well as the ability to effectively plan and execute network projects.
  • **Responsibilities** - Create and manage Capacity Creation Requests (CCRs) for US domestic network transport builds.
  • Deliver key strategic business initiatives, including new network technology deployment and adoption of inventory and provisioning systems.
  • Perform planning, forecasting, and capacity monitoring of LD/ULH Transport network infrastructure.
  • Support transport capacity requirements for a full suite of products and customers.
  • Coordinate with real estate and central office equipment teams to ensure adequate resources for network growth.
  • Perform wavelength rearrangements to optimize network capacity.
  • Support multi-year transport capacity forecasts and network builds to determine capital funding requirements.
  • Coordinate with various teams to communicate network build plans and obtain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards.
  • Perform detailed equipment engineering for network augments.
  • Define cable requirements and manage orders for network equipment and hardware. 
  • Update central Network Inventory Database to reflect changes.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders for successful transport implementation.
  • Provide detailed diversity analysis for network growth and customer orders.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting project plans.
  • Perform data analysis and provide reports for transport planning stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership and mentor junior engineers.
  • Maintain flexibility with work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
  • **Education Qualification** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. **Required Skills** - Extensive knowledge of SONET and Long-Distance transport systems.
  • Strong understanding of transport network planning and execution.
  • Ability to perform capacity monitoring and forecasting.
  • Experience with network equipment engineering and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Leadership and team orientation. - Ability to train and mentor junior engineers.
  • Flexibility with work schedule and on-call availability......

    Pay Rate: $10 - $14
