Position Details:
Location - Buffalo, NY - 14203 (Hybrid Preferred, Open for Remote) 
Title - Technical Engineer (Firewall)  
Pay range- $65-70/hr
 
Skill Set
  • Check Point Firewall Rule Building
  • General Firewall and Networking Experience 
  • Ability to trace data flows and read packet captures to facilitate troubleshooting
 
Top Skills:
  • Check Point Firewall/Palo Alto, Aviatrix (preferred), Networking (BGP, Routing, etc.) (Experience Preferred), Enterprise (Banking, healthcare, defense, etc.) 
Other Skills:
  • Skillset and Cultural Fit, Certifications - CISSP, Checkpoint, Aviatrix (Nice to have)
Project Scope/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Currently working on  Migrating to Co-lo Facilities, Firewall Configuration, Firewall rules (Second Team), Firewall Infrastructure (one Team) - There are two teams: one that works in Firewall Rules and another one on Firewall Infrastructure, as these teams have recently merged
Banking/ Finance background: Nice to have - not required
