Duration: 11+ Months- possible extension/conversion
Salary and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $30 .00/hr- $35 .00/hr .
Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
• Set up, load, and operate CNC machines according to job specifications
• Perform complex machine setups for production runs
• Set up fixturing using standard fixture hardware
• Design custom fixtures for specialized machining operations
• Calibrate machines and verify setup accuracy before production
• Operate equipment and monitor production to ensure quality and efficiency
• Perform first article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy
CNC Programming and Optimization
• Write and modify CNC programs using G-code or CAM software
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining
• Optimize cutting parameters, feed rates, and tool paths to improve cycle times
• Troubleshoot programming errors and make real-time adjustments
• Work with the team on keeping machine templates up to date
• Maintain a clean digital file archive
Technical Problem-Solving and Optimization
• Monitor machine operations to detect and address any issues or deviations
• Troubleshoot machine issues and programming errors
• Identify and resolve quality problems related to setup and operation
• Make real-time adjustments to programs and machine parameters
• Recommend process improvements to reduce setup time and increase throughput
Quality Control and Inspection
• Conduct quality checks and measurements to ensure parts meet required specifications
• Verify parts meet engineering drawings and GD&T specifications using precision measuring equipment
• Use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
