Job Summary:
We are seeking a Clinical Development Medical Monitor with strong hematology expertise and clinical trial experience.
The role will provide medical oversight for clinical studies and support protocol design, implementation, and evaluation.
The position will independently review and interpret accumulating safety and efficacy data and identify potential risks.
The role will collaborate closely with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Safety, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Quality teams.
Strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, pharmacovigilance, and clinical research compliance is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical and scientific oversight for assigned clinical studies and support protocol development and evaluation.
- Review, interpret, and communicate accumulating safety and efficacy data to support patient safety and study integrity.
- Monitor study enrollment, timelines, key deliverables, and overall clinical study quality.
- Assess and report serious adverse events in accordance with applicable regulations and safety requirements.
- Identify emerging risks, ensure accurate data entry, and appropriately escalate safety or protocol related issues.
- Provide medical guidance, training, and education to investigators, study site personnel, and internal study teams.
- Collaborate with global cross functional teams across Clinical Development,
- Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Safety, and Quality.
- Maintain current knowledge of hematology through medical literature and relevant professional developments.
- Support audits, peer reviews, quality improvement activities, and clinical review meetings.
- Communicate clinical, scientific, and operational findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor, Doctor of Osteopathy, or equivalent international medical degree with relevant hematology experience.
- 5 or more years of relevant clinical experience.
Independent medical monitoring experience. - Previous clinical trial experience with AML or acute leukemia.
- Ability to independently review and interpret emerging safety and efficacy data.
- Experience identifying clinical risks, reviewing serious adverse events, and escalating safety issues appropriately.
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance, clinical trial methodology, and clinical research compliance.
- Strong cross functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Acute leukemia clinical experience in an academic or hospital setting.
- Medical monitoring experience with immunotherapies or antibody drug conjugates.
- US residency training.
- Subspecialty fellowship experience.
- Pharmaceutical or biotechnology clinical development experience.
- Experience working with global clinical sites across multiple time zones.
