Title: Fire Pump Technician
Location: Pasadena, TX
Duration: Full-time
Hourly: $22-28/hr
Day-to-Day:
- Primary: Perform fire pump testing and inspections per pre-set customer schedules.
- Secondary: Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and minor repairs on fire pump engines/drivers, small motors, and water pumps.
- Escalation: Major overhauls (e.g., replacing full pump assemblies or pump controllers) are handed off to internal mechanics or outsourced to third-party vendors.
Must-Haves:
- Petrochemical / Industrial Experience: Strictly required. Pass on candidates with only commercial background.
- Mechanical Competency: Must be physically fit for duty and comfortable working inside industrial pump houses.
- Travel Willingness: Full schedule flexibility for 35% regional out-of-town travel.
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, or refinery environments.
This is a direct hire opportunity. The selected candidate will be employed directly by our client.
