Title: Payment Operations Specialist/ Banking Operations Specialist

Type: Contract 

Duration: 12+ Months- Possible to Extend

Location: Toronto, ON or Calgary, AB -Hybrid – 2–3 day's onsite

Compensation: $18-$19/Hour 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Investigate payment exceptions and discrepancies.
• Perform daily account and transaction reconciliations.
• Process and investigate wire payment transactions.
• Support MX and SWIFT payment investigations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues.
• Ensure payment processing aligns with operational procedures and service standards.
• Investigate payment discrepancies and exceptions.
• Perform reconciliations to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Support wire payment processing and investigations.
• Resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
• Work with internal teams to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with banking processes.

Must Have:

• Experience with wire payments.
• Strong reconciliation experience.
• Experience with MX payments and SWIFT payment messaging.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in banking or financial services payment operations. 

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in payment investigations.
• Knowledge of payment operations and settlement processes.
• Experience with large financial institutions.
• Familiarity with payment compliance and operational risk.
