Pay Range: $30 to $35 an hour. 

Client Industry: Pharmaceutical

Duration: 12 Months Contract – Possible Extension based on performance and business needs

Job Summary:

• The Chemist will plan and execute laboratory experiments using established procedures and analytical techniques.
• The role will generate accurate, reliable, and reproducible laboratory data while maintaining strong documentation and data integrity.
• The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with analytical instruments and strong chemistry fundamentals.
• This position requires familiarity with GMP, GLP, and regulated laboratory environments.
• The Chemist will interpret experimental results and present findings to larger scientific audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute assigned laboratory experiments using standard procedures and appropriate analytical techniques.
• Independently generate precise, reliable, and reproducible laboratory data within established timelines.
• Document experimental activities and results in accordance with applicable regulatory and GxP requirements.
• Develop protocols for more complex tests and experiments involving less defined assays and parameters.
• Operate and maintain analytical laboratory instruments while following applicable safety and quality requirements.
• Interpret experimental data and demonstrate strong understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
• Ensure timely and compliant delivery of high quality laboratory data.
• Use standard computer applications, spreadsheets, and laboratory instrument systems to document and manage experimental results.
• Present experimental findings and conclusions to larger scientific audiences.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology, or a related scientific field with a minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Hands on experience with analytical instruments including HPLC, LC MS, UV VIS, MS, ICP, and chromatography data systems.
• Experience with laboratory research in an academic or industry environment.
• Strong understanding of chemistry fundamentals, experimental techniques, data interpretation, and laboratory practices.
• Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and regulated laboratory environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills with the ability to present experimental findings to larger groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pharmaceutical industry laboratory experience.
• Research presentations or scientific publications.
• Experience presenting findings to scientific organizations or larger technical audiences.
