Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Wilmington, MA / North Reading

Duration: 6+ Months- possible extension/conversion

Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $45 .00/hr- $ .00/hr .

Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

• Controls programming & integration — PLC programming on any platform (Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff), HMI/SCADA development (Ignition, FactoryTalk, WinCC), robot/automation-cell integration (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB), and MES interfacing.
• Machine build, commissioning & bring-up — electrical assembly and panel/I/O wiring, reading/verifying against drawings and specs, and full FAT/SAT commissioning to bring stations up to spec and standards.
• Production-floor troubleshooting & uptime — fast debug of live equipment, root-cause analysis, and countermeasures to keep machines running and improve reliability (MTTR/MTBF).
• PLC programming & debug — developing, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC logic on any platform (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000/ControlLogix, Beckhoff TwinCAT, or similar), following established controls standards.
• HMI/SCADA support — building and maintaining HMI screens and SCADA applications (Ignition, FactoryTalk, WinCC, or equivalent) for real-time line visibility, alarms, and production data.
• Machine build & assembly support — mechanical and electrical assembly, panel and I/O wiring, sensor/actuator mounting, and getting equipment physically ready for power-up.
• Machine spec verification & acceptance — verifying each machine is built to specification and complies with controls, electrical, and safety standards; checkout against acceptance criteria; documenting
