Materials Management and Logistics Specialist

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the procurement of materials to meet production and project needs.
- Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and material usage.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all logistics activities.
- Strong organizational and time management skill with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Excel.
- Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and procurement principles.
- Effective communication skill for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making.
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Able to use mainframe computer system (SAP) and personal computer software to perform warehouse activities.
- Able to pass required tests to acquire forklift certification.
- Education: Requires a high school education or the equivalent knowledge of English, grammar, and basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculation of fractions and/or percentages).
- Experience: 0–2 years of experience.
- Able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, lift arms, carry items, and climb stairs or ladders.
- Able to view terminal for extended periods of time, use keyboard, and sit for long periods of time to use personal computer.
- Able to use the proper tools for any given job.
- Able to be included in random drug screen pool required for DOT drivers and DOT safety sensitive positions.
- Able to don personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hardhat, gloves, protective footwear, and earplugs on a daily basis.
- Able to operate a motor vehicle and heavy equipment and the ability to enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
