Pay Range: $65 to $70 an hour. 

Client Industry: Medical Device

Job Mode: Onsite in Plymouth, MN

Duration: 10 to 12 Months of Contract (Possible Extension based on performance and business needs)

Job Summary:

• Lead medical device research and development projects from concept through commercialization.
• Own project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
• Drive cross functional product development activities while maintaining alignment with quality and project objectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies, and changes to support timely project execution.
• Partner with stakeholders and leadership to maintain effective communication, governance, and project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross functional product development projects from concept through commercialization.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, priorities, and timelines.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, costs, capacity, and deliverables.
• Identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate resources and drive timely resolution of project challenges.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain project documentation and governance.
• Balance development timelines and feature scope while maintaining quality standards.
• Drive lessons learned and continuous project and process improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 7 or more years of leadership experience in medical device, biomedical, or high technology industry.
• 4 or more years of project management experience.
• Experience with medical device product development and project management.
• Experience leading cross functional teams and managing stakeholders.
• Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and financial tracking.
• Experience with risk, issue, dependency, and change management.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem solving skills.
• Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Experience with catheter or implantable medical device development.
