Title: Payroll Accounting Manager

Duration: Full-Time
Location: Houston (Onsite)
Pay Range: 130k-140k (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation, review, and accuracy of business activities within the department, including executing financial close activities, reviewing and updating business practices, performing internal control self-assessments, preparing forecasts and annual business plans, and performing ongoing process improvements.
• Responsible for interpreting and applying company policy and accounting principles to financial transactions for internal control compliance.
• Manage payroll accounting, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL entries.
• Manage PTO/vacation reserve tracking and year-end vacation payouts.
• Reconciliation of payroll accounts, including wages payable, taxes, and benefits.

Must Have:

• 8 years of specifically accounting, 5 of these years should be in some form of people management
  • In this role they will be directly managing 9 people-accountants (GL, stock, tax)
• Experience using S4Hana experience
• Experience working in payroll for large companies (minimum 10k employees-North America, incl. Canada; multiple legal entities)
• Solid understanding of General ledger accounting processes AND how they apply to the payroll process
• End to end understanding of stock equity
• Experience with the payroll side of SAP (either ECC or 4Hana)
• Solid analytical skills and RCA (root cause analysis)
