About the Role:
  • Our client is seeking Operations Associate III professionals to join their Wealth Management Operations team in Toronto.
  • This role supports complex and exception-based operational processes, requiring strong attention to detail, analytical ability, customer service skills, and the ability to research and resolve issues independently.
  • The successful candidate will review, verify, and process information within internal systems while providing support to internal teams, business units, external customers, and industry participants.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate analysis and processing for complex, exception-based, and specialized operational processes.
  • Review, verify, record, and maintain data within technology systems supporting department processes.
  • Research and resolve operational issues and requests, including escalated questions.
  • Liaise with internal departments, RBC business units, external customers, and industry participants to obtain information and resolve issues.
  • Provide strong customer service and communicate information clearly and professionally.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce operational risk, and increase efficiency.
  • Suggest process and system improvements where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Train and support other Operations team members and act as a resource within the team.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure a high level of accuracy in all work.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience in business, finance, customer service, accounting/bookkeeping, or a related field.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent, OR a high school diploma/equivalent plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with exception-based and complex processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and resolve problems independently.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed when dealing with difficult situations or conflicts.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • Experience within the financial services, banking, or wealth management industry.
  • Knowledge of financial operations or securities processing.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
  • Experience with Broadridge.
  • Experience with CDS/DTC settlements.
  • Previous experience working with complex or exception-based operational processes.
