What is the scope of the project?
- The team maintains uptime for data centers by responding to infrastructure events and hardware issues. Key responsibilities include responding to high-severity tickets within SLA, participating in power and cooling events, performing server and network device break-fix, and troubleshooting network connections.
What are they going to accomplish on a high level?
- 40% break-fix ticket resolution (server replacements, component swaps)
- 30% event response and monitoring
- 20% preventive maintenance and documentation
- 10% team coordination and knowledge sharing
Day to day what are the responsibilities?
- Work on infrastructure that powers services used by millions of customers globally.
- Each day brings different technical challenges from diagnosing obscure hardware failures to coordinating response during large-scale events.
- Work on data center technology and develop skills across servers, networking, and critical infrastructure.
Must-haves/key skills needed
- French screening needed, english skills must be solid (bilingual)
- Must have a vehicle
- Must have reliability or 5+ years in Canada
- 1 - 3 year (Hardware networking skills/ entry level)
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Troubleshoot CPU, maintenance on break fix activity, motherboard, hard drive, memory , power shelfs (PSU/ power supplies) maintain, repair, and replace hardware
- Replace servers
- Replace parts
- Troubleshoot error messages
- Diagnose issues with hardware.

Who will they be working with?
- Work closely with DCEO (power and cooling), FOC (monitoring center), network engineers, and hardware engineering teams. Communication happens through tickets, Chime calls, and conference bridges during events.
Job Description
- As a Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues.
- You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to effectively passdown knowledge of these technologies to junior staff. You have basic to intermediate system administration skills and, where applicable, are able to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team.
- You have the ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary. You work autonomously to resolve most support issues. You are able to execute small projects on your own, and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support.
- You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.
Pay Range: $23/hr to $25/hr
