Pay Range: $35 to $45 an hour.

Job Summary:

The Biomarker Sample Operations Manager will support clinical trial biomarker sample operations from collection through shipment, testing, storage, and data reconciliation. The role will partner with clinical operations, laboratory teams, project managers, and biomarker scientists to ensure samples and data are managed according to study timelines and regulatory requirements. This position will coordinate laboratory vendors, support sample tracking systems, and drive process and system improvements. The ideal candidate will have clinical trial experience, oncology knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee the collection, shipment, storage, and delivery of clinical biomarker samples.
• Coordinate with laboratory teams, project managers, clinical operations, and biomarker scientists to meet study timelines.
• Track sample information and reconcile sample and database records.
• Review study documentation related to sample collection, handling, transport, analysis, and storage.
• Coordinate laboratory vendors, monitor deliverables, resolve issues, and support vendor oversight.
• Support sample tracking system development and implementation for assigned studies.
• Review vendor invoices and support contract and service scope activities.
• Ensure sample operations follow applicable clinical research and biosample management procedures.
• Support process improvements, training materials, standard procedures, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Manage multiple priorities while working independently in a fast paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with 3 or more years of project management, oncology, biomarker, or clinical trial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 or more years of project management, oncology, biomarker, or clinical trial experience.
• Clinical trial experience with knowledge of oncology and biomarkers.
• Experience with biomarker samples, biospecimen operations, sample tracking, or clinical sample management.
• Experience with laboratory vendor coordination or vendor oversight.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification.
• Experience with sample tracking systems or laboratory databases.
• Experience supporting oncology clinical trials.
• Experience with laboratory contracts, service agreements, or vendor deliverables.
• Experience with process improvement and system implementation.
