• Seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to design, build, integrate, and troubleshoot automation systems that support Leprino’s manufacturing plants.
• This person will work closely with Controls Engineers and plant teams to implement reliable PLC, HMI, instrumentation, and industrial communication solutions.

• Develop and update PLC and HMI programs supporting plant automation.
• Build automation applications that improve manufacturing processes and capabilities.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and industrial communication systems.
• Support installation, commissioning, testing, and validation of new equipment.
• Work with pneumatics, servos, VFDs, relays, communication networks, HMI screens, pushbuttons, and robotics.
• Support smaller capital projects and hands-on automation initiatives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to plant personnel.
• Document controls systems, programming changes, and project progress.
• Identify potential scope, budget, or timeline issues early in projects.
• Help improve automation reliability, plant performance, and production stability.
• Work alongside Controls Engineers supporting larger capital projects.

• 6+ years of PLC or SCADA integration experience.
• Experience programming ControlLogix processors and/or using the Wonderware software suite.
• Experience with small capital projects or system-level automation.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and industrial communications.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically.

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with robotic integration.
• Experience with advanced industrial communication networks.
• Previous involvement with installation or validation of new production-line automation.
• Experience commissioning and troubleshooting equipment in a plant environment.
