Pay Range: $25 to $30 an hour.

Duration: 6 Months Contract, with potential extension based on performance and business

Job Summary:

Support cell culture process development, scale up, and laboratory operations for biologics manufacturing programs. Perform bench scale cell culture activities and support bioreactor operations in an industrial laboratory environment. Handle media preparation, aseptic processing, sampling, equipment maintenance, and laboratory support activities. Work independently on weekend sampling and feeding activities while communicating issues to experiment owners. Collaborate with scientists and laboratory teams while maintaining accurate documentation and equipment readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support setup, calibration, troubleshooting, breakdown, and decontamination of 3 L bioreactor systems.
• Perform routine sampling of ongoing cell cultures and track required equipment maintenance.
• Prepare stock solutions and cell culture media and perform sterile filtration and aseptic aliquoting.
• Perform daily calibration and verification checks for pH meters, cell counters, and biochemical analyzers.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and glassware through routine cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and stocking of laboratory materials and consumables.
• Maintain accurate data in paper and electronic systems.
• Independently perform weekend sampling and feeding of ongoing cultures.
• Communicate laboratory issues to experiment owners and assist with resolution.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 or more years of experience in an industrial laboratory environment.
• Cell culture experience or strong understanding and interest in cell biology.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to work Sunday through Thursday on 1st shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting bioreactors or cell culture process development.
• Experience with aseptic laboratory techniques, media preparation, and sterile filtration.
• Experience with laboratory equipment calibration and troubleshooting.
• Experience facilitating or leading laboratory activities.
