Job Summary:
  • We are seeking an experienced Load and Performance Lead Engineer with 15+ years of hands-on experience in software development, performance engineering, and performance testing.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong Python programming skills, extensive experience with LoadRunner and/or JMeter, and expertise in developing advanced performance test scripts using Citrix Protocol and VUGen.
  • The individual will work closely with application development, architecture, infrastructure, and production support teams to design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies for complex enterprise applications.
  • This role requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, the ability to identify performance bottlenecks, and experience delivering reliable, scalable, and high-performing technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for complex enterprise applications.
  • Develop data-driven load and performance test scripts using LoadRunner, VUGen, JMeter, and Citrix Protocol.
  • Perform advanced test script development beyond standard record-and-playback capabilities using VUGen 9.5 or later.
  • Design and execute various performance testing scenarios, including load testing, stress testing, failover testing, endurance/aging testing, and scalability testing.
  • Lead test data creation and preparation activities to support performance testing requirements.
  • Apply specialized Python programming and scripting skills to support test automation, data processing, and performance testing activities.
  • Analyze application behavior under varying workloads and identify performance bottlenecks across distributed systems and application environments.
  • Utilize monitoring and profiling tools such as Dynatrace, CA Wily Introscope, AppDynamics, and AWR reports to monitor, analyze, and report application performance.
  • Leverage Splunk for log analysis, performance diagnostics, and investigation of application issues during load testing.
  • Troubleshoot performance testing environment issues across Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Collaborate with application developers, solution architects, infrastructure teams, and production support teams to perform defect triage, root cause analysis, and production readiness planning.
  • Work with stakeholders daily to understand performance requirements, define testing objectives, and communicate test results and recommendations.
  • Prepare and distribute performance test reports, documenting test findings, system behavior, bottlenecks, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to project and team meetings, provide technical guidance, and support the end-to-end delivery of performance engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure performance testing activities align with project timelines, technical standards, reliability objectives, and delivery expectations.
Required Qualifications and Technical Skills:
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in software development, performance engineering, performance testing, or performance architecture.
  • Strong expertise in LoadRunner, including VUGen 9.5 or later, for advanced performance test script development.
  • Experience with Citrix Protocol and the development of data-driven load testing scripts.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and scripting, with the ability to develop custom solutions for performance testing and analysis.
  • Experience with JMeter and other load testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of web protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS and Citrix protocols.
  • Programming experience in languages such as Python, C, and Java, along with SQL query development and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with application monitoring and profiling tools, including Dynatrace, CA Wily Introscope, AppDynamics, and Oracle AWR reports.
  • Working knowledge of Splunk for log analysis and performance troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of distributed load testing environments, application architecture, and end-to-end performance measurement.
  • Experience identifying performance bottlenecks and analyzing application performance across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with load management applications such as LoanIQ (Finastra).
  • Previous software development experience supporting complex enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with banking or financial services applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across development, architecture, infrastructure, and production support teams.
  • Experience contributing to technical delivery and performance engineering initiatives for large-scale platforms.
